The Coalition is made up of a broad range of people and organizations interested in family support and family-based alternatives to congregate care. Some coalition contributors represent the organizations they work for and some participate as individuals. Participants represent a range of ages and ethnicities. Many have family members with disabilities. Some identify as individuals with disabilities who grew up in congregate care facilities. Coalition members work on their own behalf, on behalf of their family members, and on behalf of all children in Pennsylvania. They contribute from deep personal experience as well as extensive expertise from their work through over fifty separate professional affiliations- ranging from disability advocacy organizations, to direct care providers, to state government.
